Harry Maguire defends Marcus Rashford after performance in Newcastle Loss

Harry Maguire defended team-mate Marcus Rashford after the striker's woeful show against Newcastle United. Speaking to reporters after the match, the defender said,
"Marcus had an unbelievable season last season. This season, it hasn't clicked for him. He's working hard. Everyone in that dressing room knows what he's about."
He added, "It's been a tough week with three away days in six days. To be fair, in the first half, we looked like we'd played our third away day in six days. "The tempo wasn't there, the intensity wasn't there. They were a lot better than us. We grew into the game, but we didn't have enough in the end."

Newcastle legend, Alan Shearer was one of many critical of the forwards performance. He says "In [Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot's] defence, they got no help whatsoever from Garnacho and  Rashford. "Rashford didn't look at it at all - didn't look interested. It happened so many times. Newcastle created so many chances and they should have had many goals. "For me, there are too many bad eggs in that Man United team. Too many bad attitudes. "It's alright when things are going well for you, you can get your feet on the ball, play and pick your head up when things are nice and rosy. "But, when it's not going for you, when you're a bit tired and you've got to roll your sleeves up, there's not enough characters in that team."
